Czech Airlines – the Czech national carrier has more than 80 year-old traditions in its field. The company was founded in 1923 and during 1924-1927 it connected the capital of the Czech Republic – Prague with Kosice, Brno and the spa region West Bohemia. In 1929 the company became a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Since 2000 Czech Airlines is part of the airline alliance Sky Team. In 2007 the Czech national carrier is declared the best airline in Central and Eastern Europe for the fourth time. The airline takes flights to nearly 70 destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa. The airplane park amounts to 50 airplanes Airbus, Boeing and ATR and it is renovating incessantly. In 2008 some of the ordered Airbus A319 airplanes came into use.
