Malév Hungarian Airlines is the flag carrier of Hungary and it has more than 60 year-old traditions in the business. The main office of the company is in Budapest and its main air base is the Budapest-Feriheg airport. The carrier offers services of extremely high quality, which are internationally recognized.
In 2010 Malev won the award for the best airline in Southwest Europe of 2010. In fact the passengers have the leading part in the selection of the winners. The carrier won also an award for the greenest airline as well as many other prizes. Since April 2007 Malev has been a member of Oneworld, in which Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberiа, etc. are also members. Malev has 22 airplanes – 18 of them are Boeing 737 from the Next-Generation set and they form the core of the airplane base. The carrier has 4 more planes – Q400 with 72 seats each.
After carrying out a survey of the airport in Prague, Czech Republic, the airplanes of Malev Hungarian Airlines have become the quietest in their category and in this way they get ahead of the planes of the German and Austrian national carriers.
